South Breeding mix is a specialized mix for Color Canaries based on Yellow & White as well as Show canaries.

It is recommended for preparation, but also during the breeding season.

Birds, in order to be kept in excellent condition and health, need, in addition to housing, the right diet. This is a determining factor for success. Most of the birds in cages and aviaries are eating seeds.

These seeds provide a large portion of the necessary nutrients for birds to maintain their metabolism.

CRUDE FATS AND CARBOHYDRATES: are the main suppliers of energy for the various processes of the bird's metabolism, such as the maintenance of normal body temperature and the proper functioning of the bird's organs and muscles.

CRUDE FIBER: a proper amount of cellulose (crude fiber) is necessary to promote the normal movement of food through the bird's digestive system. It also helps provide the bulk necessary for normal stools. As the crude fiber content of the diet increases, so will the amount of water consumed by the bird.

In addition to these different organic parts, seeds also contain vitamins.

Most types of seeds are rich in these elements but each element comes in different proportions. As the needs of birds differ at each time of the year (breeding period, weaning of chicks, pterygium or emergence period), a good knowledge of the nutritional values of different seeds is very important.
