DERMActiv is an innovative product on the veterinary market. Its active ingredients support the proper functioning of the skin and coat as well as providing them with a healthy appearance.
The unique combination of many anti-inflammatory, antiallergenic, antipyretic, antioxidant and detoxifying substances supports the treatment of a variety of skin diseases in pets. The composition of the product has been developed in due consideration of published research, and is based on fatty acids (EPA, DHA, GLA), derived from two sources: fish oil and borage oil, vitamins A, E, B-complex, minerals (zinc, iron), amino acids (L-methionine and L-cysteine), and plant extracts (lavender, horsetail, milk thistle, nettle, tricolor violet, cistus).
Omega-3 acids (source of EPA and DHA) – enhance proper hydration of the skin as well as alleviating UV-induced inflammatory changes. EPA and DHA significantly reduce the secretion of pro-inflammatory substances in response to ultraviolet radiation. They protect against sunburn and reduce its adverse effect, support natural repair processes and soothe skin irritations. Their deficiency weakens natural skin resistance.
Borage oil (source of GLA) – enhances hydration, suppleness, and density of the skin, alleviate its roughness and enhance its resistance to fatigue. γ-linolenic acid deficiency is associated with the incidence of a variety of skin conditions, including excessive dryness.
Lavender extract – thanks to its essential oils, it has a calming effect, reducing the stress associated with pain and itching accompanying dermatoses. Furthermore, lavender is a source of flavonoids, which boost the protective effects of the skin, protecting against UV radiation, and accelerating the healing of any wounds.
Horsetail extract – contains flavonoids and silicon compounds that nourish and regenerate the skin of the animal. Field horsetail reduces oedema, inflammation, accelerates wound healing, and protects against excessive hair loss. It also acts as an antimicrobial, cleanses the skin, strengthens the epidermis, and even enhances treatment of minor skin injuries.
Nettle extract – supports the treatment of eczema, seborrhoeic dermatitis, alopecia in domesticated animals. It boasts anti-allergenic and anti-inflammatory effects, being an antagonist of histamine - a pro-inflammatory mediator.
Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) – has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and detoxifying effects on the body. Silymarin affects the quantitative and qualitative composition of tallow and slows down the process of keratinization of sebaceous glands and epidermis. It also protects the skin against UV radiation.
Tricolour violet extract (pansy) – a source of flavonoids and salicylates. It reduces inflammation, soothes seborrhoea, acts as an antibacterial and anti-allergenic agent, and supports the treatment of dermatoses.
Ground cistus – contains polyphenols that boast antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. Reduces the amount of bacteria, viruses and fungi in the body, and alleviates the symptoms of allergies.
Vitamins A and E – fat-soluble vitamins, natural antioxidants that slow down the aging process of the skin. They also prevent excessive dryness and keratinisation of the skin, and promote faster regeneration of the epidermis.
Complex of group B vitamins – supports the healing of wounds, ensures proper hydration of the skin and protects against inflammation, seborrhoea and alopecia.
Zinc (in the form of amino acid chelate) – boasts a significant effect on overall condition and appearance of the animal's skin and coat. It is used primarily for the treatment of zinc-dependent dermatitis and skin lesions in dogs suffering from hypothyroidism. Iron (in the form of amino acid chelate) – prevents hair loss and keratosis of the skin. It is essential for the conditioning of skin, hair and claws.
L-cysteine – reduces skin inflammation and ensures its healthy appearance. It protects the skin against UV radiation, participates in the production of collagen and improves the skin's structure and suppleness.
L-methionine – a sulphuric amino acid supporting the regeneration of connective tissue and accelerating hair growth.
Indications:
     allergic flea dermatitis,
     seborrheic dermatitis,
     zinc-dependent dermatosis,
     falling out hair,
    dry and dull skin,
    alopecia,
    atopic dermatitis.
Usage:
Recommended daily dose of the product to be given according to the body weight of the animal
    Small animals up to 10kg b.w.-1/2 capsule
    For every 20kg b.w.-1 capsule
Product is in the form of openable capsule.It is recommended to mix product with kibble,wet feed or water. Recommended daily dose can be divided into a couple of smaller portions during the day.
