Anti-Herpes is a product containing L-lysine – an amino acid necessary for cats -  one that has a number of important functions in their bodies. Scientific research has shown that regular feeding of L-lysine to cats infected with FHV-1 virus reduces viral shedding, limits the replication of the virus and shortens the total duration of the infection.
L-lysine competes with arginine for place in the structure of viral proteins, and this is why its higher level during infection reduces the spread of the virus. Contagion with feline herpes virus (FHV-1) is the most common reason behind respiratory system and eye infections. Feline herpes virus causes the disease called cat flu, a common name for feline rhinotracheitis. It is also considered to be the main cause of conjunctivitis and keratitis in cats. The infection lasts for life and the symptoms worsen in times of increased stress and decreased immunity. The course and duration of the disease depend on the age, general condition and immunity of the cat. Untreated diseases caused by herpes virus can lead to pneumonia - therefore the first symptoms of cat flu should never be disregarded.

Usage:
Recommended dose:
• Adult cats – 1 flat scoop (800 mg) twice daily.
• Kittens – ½ flat scoop (400 mg) twice daily.
It is recommended to mix with kibble, wet feed or water. One package is enough for a month’s use for an adult cat and two months for a kitten.
