Activet® OxaloActiv 50caps

OXALOACTIV was created for animals suffering from kidney stones. Potassium citrate and magnesium-potassium citrate act as inhibitors of the crystallization process and the formation of oxalate uroliths.

Treating Oxalate Stones: OXALOACTIV acts as an inhibitor of the crystallization process and the formation of oxalate uroliths.

Oral intake of potassium citrate binds calcium and forms water-soluble calcium citrate. In addition, the product helps to mildly alkalinize the urine, which increases the solubility of calcium oxalate. Another important active ingredient is vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), as deficiency of this vitamin can lead to increased endogenous production of oxalic acid. The vitamin B6 contained in the product prevents any lack of it in the diet and protects against oxalic urolithiasis.

Vitamin B6 has a preventive effect against oxalic urolithiasis.

Composition: Potassium citrate (urine alkalizing agent), Gelatin (shell), Magnesium-potassium citrate (urine alkalizing agent), Magnesium stearate.

Analytical Ingredients: Protein 25.1%, Fiber 4.0%, Fat 1.9%, Ash 40.4%, Calcium 0.0%, Phosphorus 0.0%, Sodium 0.1%, Magnesium 1.2% , Potassium 20.8%, Chlorides 0.7%, Sulfur 0.0%, Total Vitamin D 0.0%, Hydroxyproline 3.3%. Additional Nutrient Ingredients per Kg: Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) 57.14 g. Additional Materials: Microcrystalline Cellulose, Titanium Dioxide (shell).

Instructions for Use: Recommended daily dosage depending on the body weight of the animal. It is given with the meal:

Dogs: under 10 kg – 1 capsule, every 12 hours • 10-25 kg – 2 capsules, every 12 hours • over 25 kg – 3 capsules, every 12 hours

Cats: 1 capsule, every 12 hours

If necessary, open the capsule and mix the contents into the food. If the feeding method is based only on dry food, it should be slightly moistened to ensure good adhesion of the contents of the capsule and its complete absorption.

Recommended Administration Period: Up to 6 months. Consult the veterinarian before administering the product.
